Event Details

Baby Day, a mini conference for families with babies, is the only statewide celebration of the first three years, when early experiences shape lifelong potential. First3Years, Friends of the Pflugerville Library, Shine Behavior Consulting, Bright Spot Pediatric Therapy, Northwestern MutualĀ® and the Pflugerville Public Library partner to host this event to acknowledge and celebrate this incredible period of growth in our tiniest Texans by offering activities, sessions, and resources that engage parents and caregivers with their children to nurture foundational relationships and healthy development.

This mini conference will offer a rotation of 4 different sessions. Families will be able to choose three to attend.  The sessions will include a play time, a baby time (story time for babies) and three workshop style presentations by child development specialists.

Registration to participate begins on Monday, April 1.

  • From Baby to Toddler: Understanding Development & Emotions 
    Presented by Amber Olson from Shine Behavior Consulting 

    This training provides parents and caregivers with essential knowledge on fostering emotional regulation, early brain development, and speech/communication skills in infants and toddlers. The session highlights how early experiences shape a child's future, practical strategies for managing tantrums and meltdowns, and effective ways to support language development. Attendees will leave with actionable insights to create a nurturing environment that promotes resilience, communication, and emotional well-being in young children.
  • College is Possible
    Presented by Crystal Herrington from Northwestern MutualĀ® 

    In this workshop titled we review all the options to save toward future college education expenses and touch on topics of teaching children the value of saving from a young age and even suggest fun ways to start the conversation at home. 

  • Feeding Development
    Presented by A. Caitlin Sanschagrin from Bright Spot Pediatric Therapy 

    Feeding your little one can feel overwhelming with all the advice out there! This presentation provides clear, practical guidance for parents of infants and toddlers from the expert perspective of an occupational therapist. You'll learn how to support feeding skill development, understand the difference between picky eating and feeding difficulties, and navigate common mealtime challenges. Plus, get recommendations on helpful tools, seating options, and foods to make mealtimes smoother and more enjoyable for everyone.

Check in for registered participants begins 10 minutes before the program start time.  You must check in to keep your spot.  Unclaimed seats will be available to walk-ins when the program starts.
