Event Details
We are offering a series of workshops on different subjects related to starting/running a small business led by SCORE volunteers, the nation’s largest network of expert business mentors. In this workshop, join Kristine Stevenson to learn how to avoid tax issues.
Kristine focuses on mastering essential systems and processes to avoid trouble with the IRS. She addresses key areas based on years of experience at the IRS, as well as current work as an Enrolled Agent getting small business (both new and established) out of hot water with the IRS.
Her presentation is evergreen and not tax season focused. She discusses creating basic systems and processes that are both easy to establish and critical to execute. Her particular focus is on businesses that are less than 2 years old and with under $250,000 gross revenue but the information applies equally to established businesses that are making the same mistakes. In an interactive workshop, she includes real life stories of past and current business clients.
Kristine Stevenson is a Central Texas author, speaker, financial coach, radio-show host, and an IRS Enrolled Agent. She is dedicated to helping individuals and small business owners navigate their finances. With seven years of experience at the IRS in Austin, TX, Kristine spoke daily with self-employed, small business owners and handled thousands of tax returns. She specializes in assisting first-time, self-employed individuals and small business owners w/revenue under $250K. She is regularly quoted for her financial knowledge and IRS expertise in many online news and information websites. Her expertise led her to write the book, “How to Avoid Trouble with the IRS: 10 Best Tax Tips for the Self-Employed, Gig Worker and Indie Contractor,” which became an Amazon #1 hot new release.
