Event Details

We are offering a series of workshops on different subjects related to starting/running a small business. Join George Hill for an introduction to Cybersecurity and how to keep your small business safe.

If you use a computer to run your business, you are encouraged to attend this workshop. No previous background is required.

George will provide an overview of the current cybersecurity risks to any small business. He will focus on 5 key points you can implement immediately to make your business more resilient to cyber threats at no cost to you. We'll walk through a series of “what-if” scenarios that will help you gauge the readiness of your business during a cyber attack.

George Hill has a passion for teaching others about computer security. He developed innovative computer classes with his business ClassBytes, focusing on student engagement and critical thinking. His experience includes performance testing of laptops for IBM, software deployment for Dell, and logistics and loss prevention for Guitar Center. George holds a BS in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, along with numerous certifications from CompTIA, ISC2, Axelos, and PMI. Keeping up to date on current technology trends, he is an active member of the Austin chapter of International Information Systems Security Association (ISSA). When he is not working with computers, George enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and two sweet dogs.
