Program Type:
SwapProgram Description
Event Details
Join us outside in the library courtyard for a plant swap. Bring unwanted plants, pots, seeds, or other gardening items to swap with other plant enthusiasts. The Travis County Master Gardener Association will be in attendance with their Plant Clinic, so bring all your gardening questions!
Space is limited: A ticket is required to attend. Anyone 18 and up planning to attend can pick up a ticket at the host desk between March 1 and 22. Children attending do not need a ticket. (If we run out of tickets, we will update this listing.)
Please do not arrive more than ten minutes early to set up your items. Only the Travis County Master Gardener Association members will be allowed in early.
Plant swap rules:
-When you arrive: Place your items on the provided tables. Wait for staff to let you know when it's time to swap.
-Please swap fairly. If you take a certain amount of items, be sure to leave the same amount.
-Please be courteous. Do not grab items from others before they have a chance to arrange them on the tables. The plants they're holding may be the plants that they picked up in the swap!
Plant Swap Tips:
-The biggest variety of plants is available at the very beginning. Arrive as close to 9:30 as you can for more options.
-Bring a box to carry your items. Keep your items with you at all times to avoid them being mistaken for free plants that are up for grabs.
-If you need to step away, leave your items with staff in the "Plantsitting" booth.
This event will be held outdoors.
