Teen Photo Contest:
Show off your talent! Teens ages 12-18 with a Pflugerville Public Library card may enter. Limit three entries per contestant. The entry form must accompany submissions. Artwork can be submitted starting January 1st, 2025. The deadline for submissions is Saturday, February 1st, 2025. For questions or more information, email Melissa at Melissag@pflugervilletx.gov
Submission Guidelines
Artwork may be submitted in one of the following categories. You may only enter one category per photo:
- Landscape
- Black & White
- Nature
- Animals
- Abstract
- Portrait
- Still Life
- Miscellaneous
Artwork must be the original work of the entrant. Copyrighted images may not be used. Artwork must be suitable for all ages. Artists will retain all rights to their work.
Digital: Digital artwork should be emailed to melissag@pflugervilletx.gov with the subject line “Teen Photo Contest.” Entry form information and contest category must be included in the body of the email. Digital entries must be saved at 300 dpi and no larger than 1500w x 2100h pixels in jpeg format. Physical entries must be no larger than 5x7. Entries may be submitted, with or without frames.
Judging
The library’s Teen Advisory Group (TAG) members and Library Staff will select the winning artwork. TAG members competing in the competition or with siblings competing will be excluded from judging. Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Winners will be announced February 14, 2025.
1st Prize: Fuji Instax Mini Camera; 2nd Prize: $25 Shutterfly Gift Card; 3rd Prize: Photo Album.
Submitted artwork will be displayed in the library through April 2025. Photos that are not submitted with a frame will be displayed with a plain black frame. Artists will be contacted to picked up their artwork after it's taken down. Artwork not claimed by May 15, 2025 will be discarded.

Smile! We use video and photography to capture engagement of residents with our programs, public meetings and services. We strive to be transparent when we are filming or taking photos at public meetings, city events and programs.
While signed releases may be used by the City when there is a reasonable expectation of privacy, they are not used at our public meetings, open houses or events. As a participant, please note that your photograph may be taken.
