Event Details

Love a book, but hate the cover art? Design your own cover art for a book in need of better art or an old favorite that may need updating. Teens ages 12-18 with a Pflugerville Public Library card may enter. Artwork can be submitted starting June 1st, 2025. The deadline for submissions is Monday, June 30th, 2025.

Submission Guidelines

Artwork must be related to a book. Artwork may be submitted in one of the following categories. One entry per person:

• Traditional (painting, drawing, etc.) – maximum size 36”x36”.

• Digital – must be saved at 300 dpi in jpeg format.

Artwork must be the original work of the entrant. Copyrighted images may not be used. AI may not be used. Artwork must be suitable for all ages.

Traditional: The entry form should be fully completed and attached the back of the artwork. The signed Waiver/Release of Liability with the signature of a parent or legal guardian must be also submitted.

Digital: Digital artwork should be emailed to melissag@pflugervilletx.gov with the subject line “Teen Art Contest.” Entry form information must be included in the body of the email.

Judging

Pflugerville Public Library staff members will select the winning artwork. Winners will be announced July 5th, 2025 .

1st Prize: $50 Michaels gift card, & t-shirt with printed artwork sublimated on it; 2nd Prize: $30 Michaels gift card; 3rd Prize: $20 Michaels gift card.

Submitted artwork will be displayed in the Teen Space through July 2025.
